Due in part to its lowest toxicity and highest quality, PEG 400 is widely used in a variety of best quality of pharmaceutical formulations, such as mouthwash, cosmetics and foods.

PEG400 should be safer than PG and VG. However it has some stale taste so that the flavoring with PEG400 maybe not so good as the flavoring with PG or VG which have some sweet taste. If you are looking for the best flavorings, not the best safety first, you may need to select PG, VG or Best Mix I.

Best Mix I is the mixture of Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG) to get the maximum smoking quantity for your electronic cigarette. Normally the mixture proposition is 80% of Propylene Glycol (PG) and 20% of Vegetable Glycerin (VG), depending on the application weather temperature. Best Mix II is the mixture of Vegetable Glycerin (VG) and PG400 to get the maximum smoking quantity for your electronic cigarette. Normally the mixture proposition is 60% of Vegetable Glycerin and 40% of PG400, depending on the application weather temperature. The Vegetable Glycerin (VG) is more viscous than Propylene Glycol (PG) and PG400. The higher the temperature of the weather is, the more the Vegetable Glycerin (VG) proposition.

What is the USP EP?

The USP stands for United States Pharmacopeia. The EP stands for European Pharmacopoeia.

The USP is the official pharmaceutical compendium in the United States. It includes chemical descriptions, identifying tests, and purity tests, primarily for active ingredients. USP grade is pharmaceutical grade (the same grade a drug company or pharmacist manufacturing or compounding a formulation for human use would be required to utilize) is the only grade that has any FDA regulation and oversight associated with it's manufacture, labeling and marketing.

When you buy USP grade you are assured of 3 things:

  1. The product was made to the exact specifications listed in it's USP monograph
  2. The manufacturer is FDA registered and licensed and the product HAS been approved (including the labeling/marketing material) by the FDA as meeting USP specifications.
  3. The product was made in a FDA certified facility using cGMP (current good manufacturing practices) which are stringent to ensure lot to lot consistency.
